How it all started
Pierce Sports Academy was founded in 2023 by Justin and Caden Pierce, both of whom have always had a passion in helping the next generation of basketball players. These two Glenbard West High School graduates both have had success after high school, but couldn’t have gotten there without the fundamentals and skills they learned when they were young. At PSA, we teach and solidify these fundamentals with our younger students, while getting into more advanced skills and movements with our older students. Our goal is to pass on the skills and lessons that have made our founders successful at the high school and collegiate level, with hopes of inspiring the next generation to follow in their footsteps.
Our story
Justin and Caden were born and raised in Glen Ellyn, attending Ben Franklin Elementary School. Through their time at Hadley Junior High School They both played nearly every sport up until high school, where they both started to focus on basketball. They both credit their years playing with the Glen Ellyn Titans with teaching and helping them fall in love with the game. Throughout high school, Justin and Caden both worked extremely hard ultimately allowing them to each have 10+ full scholarship offers to play basketball in college. Over the COVID-19 Pandemic, both Justin and Caden found themselves training elementary and middle school kids outside at the nearest park or outdoor hoop. They both continued doing this until the summer of 2023, when PSA was founded with hopes to bring young basketball players together in order to grow and improve alongside their friends and classmates.
Our approach
At PSA, we feel like the most efficient and effective way to get better is to be surrounded by people with similar goals and aspirations and compete. This is why in our camps we strive to create a very competitive atmosphere through our drills and games that helps our students see results. With the help of our accredited and supportive staff, we believe that each of our students will see improvement throughout their time at PSA camp.
